For some strange reason, every so often you get a song stuck in your head that you cannot shift; whether old or new, you love them and cannot stop singing, humming and listening to them throughout the day and night.

Here is my list of songs I recently cannot get out of my head, and are constantly listening to...

1. Guilty - Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb

I had put the Barbra Streissand Greatest Hits CD on for my Nan while looking after her, I love this song

2. Coming Down - Dum Dum Girls

I first heard this when binge watching Gossip Girl after my sister suggested I should watch it. My favourite characters are Blair and Chuck; there push and pull magnetised relationship was intoxicating and an emotional watch, amplified by the use of this song that fitted perfectly with one of the more upsetting scenes between the two. Once I heard it, I was desperate to find out who sang it; it gave me shivers.

3. Easy Lover - Philip Bailey and Phil Collins

I was watching the music channels one day, specifically a countdown of the best duets, and this song was featured on it and I have fallen in love with it ever since.

4. Wicked Games - Gemma Hayes

This Chris Isaak cover also gives me chills. I first heard this on a Pretty Little Liars episode during a intimate scene between characters Aria and Ezra (two names I love #babynames). I have heard many covers of the song, but this is probably my favourite.

5. King - Years & Years

This song I heard a lot on the radio, I love the tone of the lead singer's voice, and the song is so catchy. I am looking forward to seeing them live in October with some girlfriends. To be honest all of the songs released by this band should be on this list.

6. Never Close Our Eyes - Adam Lambert

I have been a big fan of Adam from when he was on American Idol; his voice is amazing. I love many of his songs and frequently get them in my head (For Your Entertainment is another favourite), but this is one I had in my head most recently.

7. Stockholm Syndrome - One Direction

I was never really a fan of the band, and never really saw the hype behind them. But I must admit some of their songs are good, and are catchy. I particularly liked the newer songs released, particularly this one...

8. Dreams - Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac are a band that I have been obsessed with for a few years or so now, particularly since watching a documentary about the making of their album Rumours on BBC iPlayer one evening in my first year of University. I find just magical is this song, where Stevie Nicks lays her emotions out for all to hear.

9. The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

Another song by them I love, particular for the instumental section - it just does something to me every time. Of course, many of you might recognise it as the F1 theme tune.

10. Liberian Girl - Michael Jackson

Again another artist where many of their songs could feature in this list. My father is a massive MJ fan, so we grew up listening to it in the house and in the car, and I loved (and still do) to dance to many of his records. Jackson was a legend in terms of his performing and songwriting, and this one of the many songs of his that I frequently get in my head.

11. Thong Song - Sisqo

A song that is incredibly catchy, and one I just cannot help but dance to wherever I am when I here or get it stuck in my head.

12. Full Moon - The Black Ghosts

This is a good example of when the film soundtracks are a lot better than the film itself. One of the opening songs of Twilight, I instantly fell in love with it - I do not know specifically why, but I do, hence why I get it in my head often.

13. Decode - Paramore

Another from the same soundtrack, this song I find powerful and emotive, and it spawned my love for the band. Hayley has such an incredible voice.

14. Wonderwall - Ryan Adams

A really beautiful cover of the Oasis classic. A tranquil, stripped back verson of the song.

15. Tell Me Why - Supermode

This is a great car song for long windings roads. It is also quite a tranquil, relaxing song that I often listen to, or it springs to mind when sunbathing or having a nap.

I really recommend that you listen to these songs, and I hope that you'll love them as much as I do!

Keep your eyes for part 2 coming out soon, where I will share more of my addictive songs with you!

Let me know what your current catchy songs are!
