OCTOBER 21 2015 is finally here!

The day Marty McFly and Doc take part in their second adventure (see in Back to the Future 2).

Part of a trilogy of films coined as classic, and rightly so. With characters you love, and some you hate (Biff), great adventures, humour and excitement; no wonder so many love it, and are celebrating it today!

The film has predicted some things correctly, but not much: 3D films, and flat-screen TV's. Although, things like hoverboards are only just starting to pick up, and though we don't as a whole, fuel our vehicles with rubbish (there are a few that do), most cars are becoming more cleaner and better for the environment - cars don't fly properly yet either. Bar code number plates are non-existant, but wearable technology is on the rise, with the likes of lights, the Apple iWatch - but not the air-drying function yet unfortunately, nor self-tying shoes. We don't have Jaws 19, but sequels are still a prevalent thing, particular with the horror and superhero genres. And don't forget the fashion - not quite what you see the everyday person wear.

There are many more similarities and differences, which I am sure you'll find when you watch the film.

Even though we haven't yet accomplished many of the things featured in Back to the Future 2, it is still amazing to see how far our technology has come, particularly in terms of things like smart phones, social media, and gaming, for example.

It will be interesting to see what the world is like in the next 30 years! My predictions include: flying cars (cause surely that should become a thing by then); everyday autodriving cars; holograms; motion media - i.e. newspapers with moving images, a bit like Harry Potter; that transportation type thing in Willy Wonka, where one would be able to import something through thin air, such as food, clothes, etc.; everything we dispose of would be recycled in some way, making us a more efficient, greener world.

What are your predictions for 30 years time?
